Abstract

This blog was created to show that with a few simple steps teachers and students can create an interesting, interactive educational experience.  Blogs can be used by teachers to present curricular activities in a unique way or by students as a means of communicating information learned through their studies on a particular topic.  It is a great medium which allows for expansion as more knowledge is gained on the topic and can incorporate pictures, links, videos etc. This is just one way technology is making it's mark in classrooms.  The future for me is just down the road when I come back to teaching after my year maternity, but I have the feeling after this class and a few others that I've taken over the past year, the class I'll be returning to will be somewhat different.  Even though I am still taking baby steps to incorporating technology into my daily lessons I realize it does not have to be something complicated or over the top, just use the tools students already know so much about, but use it in an educational way!
